Professor Dr. Mufeed Turki Rashid, Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Engineering Colleges in Iraqi Universities, hosted by the Iraqi University. The meeting saw wide participation from deans of engineering colleges from various universities across the country.

During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, including the development of the academic and engineering landscape, ways to improve curricula to keep pace with modern scientific and technological advancements, and the strengthening of scientific and research cooperation among engineering colleges and the exchange of academic expertise.

The meeting also addressed mechanisms for improving the quality of engineering education and supporting academic accreditation. Furthermore, it examined the challenges facing educational institutions and proposed appropriate solutions to contribute to achieving distinguished educational outcomes that meet the demands of the labor market.

This meeting reflects the ongoing commitment to developing engineering education in Iraq and enhancing the standing of Iraqi universities both locally and internationally.
