The Department of Architectural Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Basra, organized a specialized scientific seminar on architectural design. The seminar was presented by the founders of co.eco, architects, with the aim of introducing students to the experiences of leading design firms in the local private sector.
The seminar featured engineers Sattar Faleh and Baligh Jabbar, who presented a comprehensive overview of the company's vision and design philosophy, which is based on the concept of "human-centered architecture." They reviewed their ten-year professional journey and how they established themselves as a design firm with a distinctive architectural identity.
The speakers also addressed the major challenges they faced in founding the company, in addition to showcasing several projects implemented in the city of Hilla. These projects reflected the depth of their design vision and its connection to the local environment and community needs.
This seminar is part of the college's efforts to enhance students' practical skills and broaden their exposure to professional expertise, thus better preparing them for the demands of the job market.
