University of Basrah Organizes  Cultural Symposium on “Religion and the Cognitive System of Human”

Under the slogan of the academic speech strategy in light of the cosmic vision, the Holy Qur’an Complex for Memorization and Islamic Studies, with the participation of Al-Daleel Foundation, and in cooperation with the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, organizes cultural symposium on “Religion and the Cognitive System of Human”)
The symposium, presented by the lecturer, Dr. Falah Sebti, a professor at the Hawza, dealt with the characteristics of human existence in several fields , including the human having a material dimension, the theoretical action and the practical mind, the human being is an actor by choice, the human being is an integrated existence, the social life of the human being, the creation of the human being in the worldly life.
The lecturer, Dr. Falah Sebti, stated that the aim of the symposium is to improve the human view of religion and human’s need for religion is multiple, including human’s need for religion in the aspect of cosmic and doctrinal vision, human’s need for religion in the ethical aspect, human’s need for religion in the legislative aspect, and human’s need for religion in explaining the effects of actions
Dr. Musab Adel Ali, Associate Dean of Administration at the College of Engineering, explained that this symposium came within the cooperation between the University of Basrah in all its colleges and the Holy Qur’an Complex in Basra within the work of strengthening religious speech and its support for academic speech and in a manner that serves the community in general and students in particular.
